Portable humidity. Happy plants.

Totally portable and wireless, for cordless humidity right where your plants need it. Small enough to slip in amongst your plants but taller than other small to mid-range humidifiers, so mist is released up and over plants to better cover a larger area. I find this size perfect for covering a whole grouping of humidity-loving plants. 400ml capacity for hours of cordless run-time. Plus 2 mist settings to adjust output for your plant's needs, and night light. 

This model's available in 2 colours: Crystal or Rose Quartz. This is for the Crystal, a crisp white top with semi-opaque, white frosted water reservoir base, and subtle silver detailing. 

Two extra benefits unique to this model: Th e only H2O with a visible water level from the outside thanks to the frosted base, so you know at a glance when it needs topping up without having to take the top off to check. Also the tallest H2O in the range, so although it's only 7.5cms wide, at 19cms tall it lifts mist higher up over plants.

Do your plants need a humidifier?

Humidity is about more than just spoiling your plants. Many of our favourite indoor houseplants come from naturally tropical habitats with high humidity all year round. Our heated and air conditioned homes cause them to suffer, even more so in homes with a fireplace, DVS or HRV system which take precious moisture from the air. 

Calathea Orbifolia, Stromanthe Triostar, Philodendron Pink Princess, String of Turtles, Orchids, Ferns... the list goes on of high humidity lovers. Signs to watch out for that your plants are asking you to raise their humidity include leaves with brown edges, brown tips and curling or wilting leaves even when you're meeting their soil watering needs. For flowering plants, also look for buds that fail to develop, or drop before they open, and flowers that shrivel soon after opening. 

Over 5 hours run-time. 

One 400ml fill lasts up to 5.5 hours corded on intermittent, or 3.5 hours on continuous mode. This is the model I reach for when I'm heading out for the whole day as I know it'll turn itself off while I'm gone (note run-times vary slightly depending on mist setting, battery charge, water level and light use). 

This model has a higher output than you might think - closer to the output of the much bigger models - so you'll likely find intermittent mode is plenty for your plants, unless your conditions are super dry or you're going for serious tropical rainforest vibes. 

To charge, plug the USB cord (included), either directly in to a standard USB port on a power board, your laptop or computer, or use your phone or speaker charger brick (not included) to plug in to the wall.

2 mist modes + night light.

On the back, beside the charging port, you'll find the multi-function settings button:

First short press turns on Continuous Mode (mist always on). Use this mode with Night Light on or off.

Second short press changes to Intermittent Mode (mist cycles 10 seconds on, 5 seconds off). Combine with the Night Light on or off.

First long press turns Night Light on, for a gentle warm glow.

Second long press turns the night light off. You can run mist only, light only, or combined.

How to set up & use your H2O 400.

Easy peasy. Check the full set-up directions here > before first use. Make sure to read the full Humidifier Care Guide before you buy. This model requires two LONG size wicks to run and comes with four included with your humidifier (two installed, two spare in the box). Wicks need replacing every 3 to 6 months or so. You can get replacement long wicks here when needed.
