KJO x Love That Leaf Magic Collection - GINNY *SOLD OUT*
The second KJO Pottery x Love That Leaf collab from small batch potter Kayla O'Connor. Kayla has worked her magic on 30 beautiful planters, each with drainage hole and matching saucer, as practical as they are pieces of art. The magic continues with each piece named for a character from one of my favourite book and movie series. The Magic Collection will be released in small batches of 10 at a time as they come out of the kiln.
Each piece is unique, one of one. Handmade in Taranaki, New Zealand. Something really special to transform your favourite plant into a piece to treasure. Or, if you can bear to part with it, these planters make a extra-special Birthday or Christmas gift for a plant-loving loved one, even better if given with a voucher for their local plant store or garden centre to pick the perfect plant to go inside.
About this piece: Ginny
Ginny, short for Ginevra, was the youngest of the family and only daughter, growing up with six older brothers. Later marrying Harry and having three children. This pot is glazed in a cream wash with subtle pink drips over the top of a warm toasted leather-coloured clay underneath. The pot is stamped with a maker's mark underneath, has a drainage hole and comes with matching cream-glazed saucer included.
These type of pots are fondly nicknamed 'Turtle Pots' because they are so well suited to finer, shallow rooted plants like String of Turtles, that are otherwise prone to root rot if planted in a pot that's too deep.
This piece measures approximately 10.8cms wide (at the widest point) x 9.5cms wide across the top x 6.3cms tall (including saucer). Allow about 5mm's for the handmade nature of the piece as exact measurements aren't possible.
Of course you can plant any smaller houseplants in these, but here are a few suggestions for some perfect planty matches for this style of planter:
String of Turtles, String of Pearls, Chain of Hearts, succulents (a little collection of Echevaria look so cute in these), cacti, most ferns, finer-rooted and smaller leafed Hoya like bella, serpens, bilobata, lacunosa, curtisii and mathilde, baby Snake Plants, Nerve Plants (Fittonia), African Violets, Pothos, Peperomia, Lithops and many more.
Suitable for all smaller indoor plants, especially finer-rooted or shallow-rooted plants where deep pots increase the risk of root rot and a shallower pot makes sure roots don't miss out on water. I especially love these with vining plants that like to spread out, then cascade over the sides. Just gorgeous.
Before you order, please note
Colours may vary. I've tried to capture them as true to life as possible but colours can display differently depending on your device and settings, and can also change depending on the light they are under.
Measurements: I've measured as accurately as possible considering the handmade nature of every piece. Allow about 5mm to 1cm give or take as measurements cannot be exact for handmade items.
Shipping: I strongly recommend you choose signature required. If anything goes wrong, this piece cannot be replaced as each is one of one. Signature required means the courier does not have permission to leave, so avoids it being stolen or left somewhere it might be lost or damaged (note signature required isn't a service offered by couriers for rural).
Damage during transit is highly unlikely as I wrap with great care, well cushioned against knocks, and your parcel will be marked fragile and sent by track and trace courier. However, should a piece ever arrive damaged, please take photos of both the box, packaging and the piece, and email them through within 48 hours of delivery so I can help put it right.
Pottery sales are final. Change of mind returns are not possible with pottery.

"Super impressed with this business. Something that is lost nowadays, is customer service. This however is not the case with Anna from Love that Leaf. Very happy with my purchase, very happy with the product information provided and very happy with the quick shipping and great packaging. Thanks!" Melayna Anderson
"By far the best customer care I've had in a long time. Website is such a wealth of information and the email with instructions for use after my purchase was fantastic. The pipette for measuring the correct amount was such a great inclusion, and the personalised message on the package was very cool. Definitely my go to shop for plant supplies now. Thanks Love That Leaf! A+++" Karyn Wilson
