Wildvine Mini Trellis Support - from $2 each

$2.90 NZD
Quantity

I love supporting local, so when I went looking for a pole for my smaller Hoya, I was delighted to discover these Mini Trellis Supports were available right here in NZ, from Kate at Wildvine.

Singles for $2.90 each

Yes, they are plastic, and about 3mm thick, so they're not as sturdy as the recycled aluminium Botanopia supports, but they are definitely sturdy enough to make great starter supports for all your smaller jungle members - especially for viners and climbers with thinner, flexible stems, like Hoya, Philodendron, Chain of Hearts and more.

Plus nice and light too so they won't tip over smaller potsCheck out the photos to see my Hoya Krimson Princess who's been loving her trellis (and those leaves are chunky!). Being plastic makes these super budget friendly too. Check out that price!!!

I love the art deco vibes of the design, plus there are so many places to clip stems to. Definitely worth getting with either a pack of Hoya Clips for attaching finer stems, or Plant Velcro for thicker stems (Plant Velcro comes in green or black).

Size check

These measure 30cms tall and 8.8cms across the widest point. Just 5.5cm across the bottom too, meaning they fit easily in even the smaller pots, plus being made of plastic they are super light to avoid tipping over smaller pots too. They are nice and thin also, about 3mm thick, so easy to gently slide in to your substrate, without having to repot.

Made of Styrene

These are made of polystyrene plastic, also known as Styrene. Long-lasting, high heat and UV tolerance, and used for everything from kids toys to disposable cutlery.

However please note Styrene is not considered biodegradable and is not recyclable in NZ, so as tempting as the multi-packs are to save some extra pennies, I do hope will only buy what you need right now. Please make sure to reuse or to gift on to your plant besties once your plants outgrow them.

More options

Other options for your plants include the recycled aluminium Botanopia supports > which come in 30cm and 34cm heights, are available in 4 designs and 2 colours (gold or black), including the adorable Pompom, Hoop (great for Hoya), Perch and Bump designs.

Or if you're looking for something wider or taller, or the type of pole aerial roots can get into (that you can fill with spag moss or fern fibre or another substrate of your choice), check out the Grow Vertical poles >. They come in 2 heights, either 33cm or 70cm tall, and in 3 colours, either clear, black or 100% recycled eco.

There's also the recycled plastic Elho Mini Trellis as another option, which is dark green  and measures 37cms tall, like a miniature version of an outdoor trellis.

Claw clips and plant not included (clips available separately here)

Shipping and Delivery FAQ's

FLAT RATE SHIPPING

Flat rate shipping is $5.90 nationwide (or $9.50 for rural). Order as many products as you like without paying any extra for shipping. The only exceptions are plants and fragile or oversize products (like handmade pottery), which have their own rates.

Add $2 to upgrade to signature required. Well worth it for anything valuable or limited edition that can't be replaced. Choosing signature required gives both of us the ability to claim if anything goes wrong with the courier.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

"Super impressed with this business. Something that is lost nowadays, is customer service. This however is not the case with Anna from Love that Leaf. Very happy with my purchase, very happy with the product information provided and very happy with the quick shipping and great packaging. Thanks!" Melayna Anderson

"By far the best customer care I've had in a long time. Website is such a wealth of information and the email with instructions for use after my purchase was fantastic. The pipette for measuring the correct amount was such a great inclusion, and the personalised message on the package was very cool. Definitely my go to shop for plant supplies now. Thanks Love That Leaf! A+++" Karyn Wilson
