Winter Ocean #6

$59.00 NZD

I'm so pleased to bring you the first KJO Pottery x Love That Leaf collab. 20 beautiful planters, each with drainage hole and matching saucer, as practical as they are pieces of art. Each is unique, one of one. Handmade in New Zealand by small batch potter Kayla O'Connor. Something really special that transforms your favourite plant into a display piece.

 About this piece

This piece captures the mood of a winter ocean landscape with wild waves, under a moody blue sky, breaking over the sand. A wash of deep, moody blues with subtle creams and browns, on lightly speckled, toasted clay. Matching saucer included. Maker's mark stamped onto the side of the planter.  All photos are of the same planter, the exact piece you'll receive.

These are fondly nicknamed 'Turtle Pots' because they are so well suited to finer, shallow rooted plants, like String of Turtles, that are otherwise prone to root rot if planted in a pot that's too deep. A perfect match with String of Turtles of course, but suitable for all smaller indoor plants, especially finer-rooted plants such as Hoya, String of Pearls, Chain of Hearts, succulents and more. I especially love these with smaller-leafed, vining plants that like to spread out, then cascade over the edge. Just gorgeous.

This piece measures 13cms across the widest point in the middle, 10.5cms across the top and just over 6cms tall including the matching saucer.

 About the artist

Potter Kayla O'Connor is based in Taranaki, New Zealand. Creating small batch pottery since 2019.

Before you order, please note

Colours may vary slightly. I've tried to capture them as true to life as possible but colours can display differently depending on your device and settings, and can also change depending on the light they are under.

Shipping: I strongly recommend you choose signature required. If anything goes wrong, this piece cannot be replaced. Signature required means the courier does not have permission to leave, so no risk of being stolen (note signature required isn't a service couriers offer for rural).

Pottery sales are final. Change of mind returns are not possible with pottery.

Measurements may vary slightly. I've tried to be as accurate as possible but being handmade, there will be variations give or take about 5mm.

Damage during transit is highly unlikely as I wrap with great care, well cushioned against knocks, and your parcel will be marked fragile and sent by track and trace courier. However should a piece ever arrive damaged, please take photos of both the packaging and the piece and email them through within 48 hours of delivery.

Shipping and Delivery FAQ's

Flat rate shipping is $5.90 nationwide (or $9.50 for rural). Order as many products as you like without paying anything extra for shipping. The only exceptions are plants and fragile or oversize products (like handmade pottery and coffee table books), which have their own rates.

For $2 you can upgrade to signature required. Well worth it for anything valuable or limited edition that can't be replaced. Choosing signature required gives both of us the ability to claim if anything goes wrong with the courier. Signature required is flat rate $7.90 nationwide (or $12.50 for rural).

"Super impressed with this business. Something that is lost nowadays, is customer service. This however is not the case with Anna from “Love that Leaf”. Very happy with my purchase, very happy with the product information provided and very happy with the quick shipping and great packaging. Thanks!" Melayna Anderson

"By far the best customer care I've had in a long time. Website is such a wealth of information and the email with instructions for use after my purchase was fantastic. The pipette for measuring the correct amount was such a great inclusion, and the personalised message on the package was very cool. Definitely my go to shop for plant supplies now. Thanks Love That Leaf! A+++" Karyn Wilson
