TEKU MINI clear pots measure 5.5cm wide across the top, just over 4cm wide across the base, and are just under 5.5cms tall. Being about as wide as they are tall gives this size better stability than a lot of mini pots. I love this size for propagation of just about every indoor plant, baby plants, seedlings and succulents.

TEKU pots are like Transformers: More than meets the eye. At first glance you see an extra-clear pot for your indoor plants. You can use them by themselves, or pop them in a cover pot, making them suitable for all plants. You can play I Spy and keep a watch on those roots and substrate moisture levels. Job done. But there's more. What you don't see until you turn it over is the clever base design.

Elho or TEKU or Rain?

Elho's Orchid Pots are thicker, sturdier, UV safe for outdoor and indoor use including in direct sun, and made of recycled plastic. They have a rounded base, same as Teku do, to reduce sharp pot edges scratching surfaces. However Elho are not completely clear like the Teku or Rain.

Rain are almost completely clear like Teku are, both being better for monitoring of even delicate, finer roots and of the moisture level, but Rain are thinner and not quite as sturdy as Teku or Elho. They don't have rounded edges like the Elho and Teku do. Rain also have vertical ridged lines running the height of the pot around all sides.

But what really sets Teku apart is the drainage. With root rot a concern all house plant hobbyists share, drainage is a key factor that reduces the risk of root rot. by helping get rid of that dreaded perched water table, while increasing vital oxygen for roots.

What cover pots do they fit?

The TEKU 15 fits all 16cm Elho cover pots, including Elho Brussels, Elho B.For Soft, and Elho Vibes which come in lots of colour options. Depending on how high you want the plant to sit in the cover pot, you may need a handful of pebbles below the nursery pot inside the cover pot to lift it up.

All about that base

TEKU is the Kim Kardashian of the nursery pot world. Famous for their bottom. TEKU pots have unique asymmetrical drainage channels which increases drainage and also makes them more stable on mesh and wire surfaces. They have these neat 'U' shaped slots you can push plant stakes in to for better stability to support your plant. But what really sets TEKU apart is drainage.

The placement and number of drainage holes provides faster, better drainage for happier roots and to help avoid root rot. It gets water out of your substrate much faster. The clever taller, higher drainage slots help prevent roots sitting in residual water that collects at the bottom to avoid a perched water table. No wet feet! Both the tall drainage slots and domed drainage holes help increase aeration.

The new design TEKU pots now have rounded edges to reduce the risk of scratching your nice plant shelves, and a new non-slip pattern on the base to help avoid slipping and sliding.
