Shipping rates

Delivery available within New Zealand only.

*Free shipping covers standard and rural shipping for free, excludes islands (Waiheke, Great Barrier, Stewart, Chatham), and excludes oversize or overweight orders. 

 

Shipping days and times

Orders placed Monday to Thursday:

Order by 7pm Monday to Thursday for next-day shipping. 

Orders placed on Friday: 

Friday morning orders up to 11am normally leave Friday afternoon (when I can).

Orders from Friday around 11am onwards ship Monday (or the next working day if Monday's a public holiday).

Saturday & Sunday: 

Orders up to 4pm Sunday leave Monday morning (or the next working day if Monday's a public holiday). 

Public holidays:

If the next shipping day is a public holiday, your order will ship on the next working day instead. 

What is a 'working day'? Traditionally Monday to Friday are called working days, excluding public and regional holidays.

 

Types of shipping

Permission to leave means your local courier will leave your parcel without getting a signature. 

Signature required means your parcel won't be left unless someone's there to sign for it. If you are not home, the parcel will be taken to the depot and you can get in touch to collect or arrange redelivery when you will be home.

Missing parcel? Although we still may be able to help (always let us know), both the couriers and Love That Leaf are not liable for stolen, damaged, missing or lost items after they have been delivered, unless you choose signature required. Always let us know about delivery problems as we may still be able to assist with missing orders. Couriers do not provide signature required for rural delivery. 

 

Delivery times

Normal delivery is 1 to 2 working days after your order leaves. Add 1 to 2 days extra for rural or remote regions. Keep in mind public holidays and events like weather extremes can cause delays. If your parcel is not with you within 5 working days after you order, please do contact us so we can help.

 

Where we deliver to

To any physical delivery address in New Zealand. Delivery is not available outside of New Zealand. International delivery via a third party offers no warranties or guarantees. Delays, missing parcels, warranties, faults or damaged products are not covered outside of New Zealand. 

 

Courier companies

I use NZ Post, Post Haste & Aramex. I also offer the option of choosing your courier company when you check out (NZ Post rates are above).

To request a particular courier company:

If you want NZ Post, select the NZ Post shipping option in checkout. If you want Aramex or Post Haste, look for the COURIER REQUESTS box (where you enter your address). Add any special requests or delivery instructions there. You can also email me > after you order, before your order ships. 

Shipping rates for overweight / oversize orders

Overweight / oversize shipping rates apply for heavy orders, oversize boxes or orders that have to ship in two or more boxes.

In general the limits for standard shipping are up to 15 litres of standard potting mix or up to 6 litres of pon and pumice (based on everything combined).

The overweight / oversize shipping rate depends on the weight and size on your order once packed.

I will provide multiple quotes to choose from - normally NZ Post, Post Haste and Aramex. You can choose and I will never incur any extra costs without getting your okay first. 

Note free shipping gives you standard shipping free (not signature required, delivery to Waiheke, Great Barrier, Stewart or Chatham Islands, not oversize or overweight rates). Standard rates will be discounted off the oversize / overweight rates. If your order is oversize or overweight, you only pay the difference. 

If you prefer, you can reduce your order to avoid paying anything extra for shipping, and I'll send everything else and refund the items removed.

 

Do you offer click and collect?

For now, I offer delivery only, but hoping to offer our Auckland customers click and collect soon.  

 

My parcel says it's delivered, but I can't find it!

Oh no. Things do go wrong sometimes. Before you panic, first look in your letterbox and have a really good look around your property in case the driver left it somewhere out of sight.

The next step is to call your local courier depot as soon as possible. They can usually call the driver while you wait and ask if they recall where they left it. If you have no luck, please let me know and I'll see what I can do to help also. 

Keep in mind if you didn't choose signature required, that gives the driver permission to leave your parcel if you're not home. But in case they delivered to the wrong address, still let us know so we can ask for a photo or the driver's vehicle GPS location on a map.

If you let us know right away the driver will likely remember where it was left. Please don't wait to contact us or the courier company!
