💡Hybrid grow lights
Other lights might look the same on the outside, but PHOTO+ grow lights are a step up in the quality of the light output for plants (PHOTO+ is short for photosynthesis).
The light output is a white, full-spectrum light to our eyes, but although the red LEDs in the PHOTO+ don't change the colour to our eyes (the light doesn't turn pink), your plants can tell the difference.
The inclusion of the red grow light LEDs makes them better for more sensitive, younger or variegated plants in particular, but PHOTO+ can be used to give all houseplants a light boost.
PHOTO+ can also be positioned closer to plants even when on the highest settings. A better choice for seedlings, propagating cuttings, baby plants, sensitive and variegated plants.
💡42 LEDs per tube
PHOTO+ have 42 LEDs per tube (similar lights average 18 LEDs per wand). The main difference though is the addition of both full spectrum and red grow light LEDs in the PHOTO+ (others only have full spectrum).
💡Why add red light?
Red light is among the best colours to boost plant growth. Not as bright as full-spectrum to our eyes, but better for our plants.
The best two colours for plants are blue and red light, however too much blue light can stunt growth and produce smaller leaves. Winter is naturally stronger in blue light than red. Higher levels of blue light reduce auxin production (a natural plant growth hormone responsible for cell growth, concentrated in stems, roots and younger leaves). Blue light also encourages darker green colouration, another reason red light is preferred for variegated plants.

💡Extended NZ Warranty
All lights from Love That Leaf have a 6 month warranty covering manufacturing faults or defects (in other words, anything you did not cause and could not have prevented), but PHOTO+ come with an extended 1 year warranty against faults and defects.
As a customer I've always hated the hassle of returns, so as a business I make it as fast and hassle-free as I can for you and I cover all costs (for NZ purchases and household use within NZ only, not commercial).
