"I've tried every product on the market and Exterm-an-ant is the only one that always works for me." Arthur S
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Exterm-an-Ant might seem like a treat if you're an ant, but works a treat on getting rid of ants once-and-for-all. Known as New Zealand's most effective ant killer. Exterm-An-Ant is different to your standard supermarket gel or liquid ant bait products, so if other solutions haven't worked, don't give up, try this instead - or don't waste your money and time and try Exterm-An-Ant first!
Exterm-An-Ant works faster and better thanks to the unique combination of both attractants and toxins, plus much higher concentrations of multiple active ingredients.
Put an end to ants helping themselves to your food or making a home in your plants. Plus ants and plant pests go hand-in-hand because ants protect pests to help them multiply and feed, especially the more harmful pests like scale, mealybugs, aphids and other sap-suckers. Ants also pick up bacteria and pathogens from dirty areas and can then deposit them on food and surfaces around your home, potentially leading to foodborne illnesses such as salmonella.
NZ Made
You're supporting local too. Exterm-An-Ant was first developed and perfected over 40 years ago by Chemist John Smale and produced by the same family since, with daughter Kylie and her husband Gavin (also a Chemist) running the company today, based in Whitianga.
"I used Exterm-an-ant yesterday afternoon. I saw the ants swarmed to the gel and went back to their nest (wall hole). I didn’t wipe anything and when I woke up this morning, it was all clear. No signs of ants coming out of the hole... extremely surprised that it worked that fast!" Jake
Why does Exterm-An-Ant work better?
🐜TARGETS MORE ANT SPECIES There are estimated to be 40 different species of ants in NZ right now. Exterm-An-Ant is proven to work against a wider range of ant species than standard ant bait products and was developed in NZ to target the ant species particular to our country.
🪙BETTER VALUE FOR MONEY Exterm-An-Ant works out around 13 cents per ml vs liquid ant bait competitors who average over 20 cents per ml.
🛑MORE EFFECTIVE Contains nearly three times as much boric acid as standard ant bait and also contains sodium borate and at higher levels. Standard ant bait products only include boric acid, or the few that include both are at much lower levels.
🍬NATURAL, NON-TOXIC ATTRACTANTS Combines active ant killing ingredients with natural, non-toxic attractants that ants love (not just diluted sugar and water like most ant bait products use).
🏆TRUSTED AND APPROVED Used by all the major pest control companies such as Rentokil. Used by MAF to control ants at our border. EPA approved, MPI approved for both dairy and non-dairy. AsureQuality approved.
"I used to help eradicate ants with MPI. Know your ant species. Some ants don't respond to standard ant bait and you need Exterminant." Charity
Directions for how to use Exterm-An-Ant
1. SHAKE Give the bottle a good thorough shake first.
2. POUR Pour 4-5 mL (about a teaspoon), onto foil or into a shallow dish and leave near the ant trail. Place in areas not accessible to pets and humans. You can put down several baits if you have a heavy infestation.
3. REPEAT Repeat until no further ants are seen.
Tips for getting the best results
- Remove other potential ant food sources.
- Don't use fly spray or barrier sprays when baiting as these could weaken and prevent the ants from making it back to the nest with the ant killer on board. You DO want them to take the bait and any dead ants back to the nest.
- Add new baits each day, about 30cms or so away from the previous day's bait, as ants sometimes leave warning scents nearby for future ants.
- Although most customers report ants disappearing overnight, don't stop! The key to complete eradication is to keep applying Exterm-An-Ant until there are no more ants. Checking & topping up for 4-6 weeks is recommended. Remember eggs in the nest are not affected by ant bait so could re-infest areas as they hatch.
-
If using the same bait stations each time, give them a quick wash in hot water to remove any warning scents.
-
Bait can also be placed on masking tape to make adding multiple bait locations easier, as long as you still keep bait away from children and pets of course.
- Do not apply directly to any surfaces (to avoid the green dye leaving a mark).
How long does Exterm-An-Ant take to kill ants?
It's quick! Ants take the bait back to the nest and will usually die within 24-48 hours. The ants that feed on the bait will carry the bait back to the nest. It can take several days to eliminate the colony (or even a few weeks if the colony is very large, so don't stop after one treatment just because most ants have gone).
Do you have to shake the bottle?
Yes, always shake well first to make sure all ingredients are well mixed. One of the benefits of Exterm-An-Ant over other products is multiple active ingredients and attractants combined. Depending on storage conditions the components may separate in the bottle which is normal but a good shake will get them back together ready to go to work.
"We are in Wellington and have had ants for the last 15 years in our kitchen. We tried everything. About a year ago someone recommended Tasmex Exterm-an-ant. Don't be deterred, the bottle/packaging looks very old school - i.e. designed by your great uncle in his toolshed.
I was doubtful it would do the job. Seriously, we have no ants anymore! It took 2-3 applications but the ants no longer visit us. Its been like than over both Summer and Winter." Hado B
