Colours and sizes

There's the original Clear and new Rose (pale pastel pink with a touch of peach), Sky blue, Lucky green and Amethyst purple. The new colourways are 24.5cms long and 5mm thick (0.5cms). The original Clear are a little longer, thinner and cost less than the thicker, coloured stakes.

Why acrylic?

Acrylic does cost more, but is stronger and more durable than glass with 17 x the impact-resistance. Acrylic is also 50% lighter than glass, and has very high clarity, with light transmittance equal to glass. Over time when other plastics yellow, acrylic retains its clarity with minimal yellowing. Acrylic is popular for tables and furniture, glasses lens, computer screens, jewellery, product displays... and plant stakes and supports :) 

How to care for acrylic

Clean with warm, soapy water only. No need for harsh or abrasive detergents or cloths which can scratch or cloud the clear surface. The surface can be polished back to smooth if scratched.
