What was I thinking? Now I've gone clear, I have no idea why I bought solid-coloured pots all this time. I love being able to see the moisture level and monitor plant root health without having to disturb my plants to sneak a peek.
Size
Rain Clear Pots now come in 9 sizes. This is the Rain 8 measuring 7.5cms wide x 8cm tall with the bottom width 6.5cms wide and the top width from outside edge to edge 8.8cms wide (the inside width at the top is 7.5cms). A perfect size for babies to small established plants.

What are Rain clear pots made of?
Rain pots are recyclable (recycle code 5), made of the same type of thermoplastic used for food, for everything from kids lunchboxes to medicine bottles. I prefer this type of plastic for plants because it has:
- High chemical resistance to reduce leaching, making them a better choice when using fertiliser so nutrients stay available to roots and don't build-up over time.
- High heat resistance, handy for sun lovers indoors, and for cleaning with hot enough water to kill any baddies if you ever get pests. Also top rack safe in the dishwasher.
- Great clarity for use when you want to see what's inside, ideal to keep an eye on root health.
- Low moisture loss making it easier to predict when your plants need watering again, and a great option for heated, dry-air conditions like a typical kiwi winter.
- BPA free for peace of mind.
Raised drainage for water and air flow
This pot has great drainage with both flat and raised drainage for free flow of water with increased airflow, helping reduce the risk of fungi and root rot.

SHIPPING RATES
Shipping is FREE for all orders over $80. Orders under $80: Auckland Standard $5, signature required $7, or rural $9. Rest of the North Island and the South Island: Standard $7, signature required $9, or rural $11. Plants, fragile and overweight/oversize parcels have separate rates.

SHIPPING EVERY DAY
Orders ship every week-day, Monday to Friday. Orders placed before 7pm Monday to Thursday leave the next morning. Zoom zoom! Fri, Sat & Sun orders leave Monday (or the next working day).
FAST DELIVERY
Normal delivery is 1 to 3 working days. Rural and some regions can take a day or 2 longer, depending on where you're based (orders ship from Auckland).
