Crew Mini Propagation Pot - 5.5cm x 6.5cm ROUND - WHITE

$0.85 NZD

The teeny weeny Crew Mini Propagation Pot in White is both cute and practical.  The perfect size for propagating cuttings and growing seedlings without taking up a tonne of room, and more importantly, less soil / substrate means less chance of root rot for your babies. Also available in Black.

Decent drainage holes too! Best used with drainage mesh. Other mini pots I've tried have tiny or only one drainage hole, or just not enough of them to keep that water moving and free-draining, away from precious new baby roots.

They measure 5.5cms tall x 6.5cms diameter at the top and 5.5cms diameter at the bottom. Being quite squat, their lower centre of gravity makes them more balanced compared to standard pots, so less likely to tip. Handy when using lighter substrates like sphagnum moss, succulent mix, perlite, or (my favourite) hydromix which I mix with potting mix for an ideal airy, free draining mix that still holds enough moisture and nutrients to look after newly potted babies.

Made of a rigid, yet still just thin enough plastic, to give them just the right amount of flex to easily, gently squeeze babies out when they're ready for an upgrade. Give the pot a wash and you're ready to re-use. They may be cheap but they're definitely tough enough to use again-and-again. Not a throw-away.

Size? Tick. Drainage? Tick. Price? Tick!

Go on, get a few, and get propping!

: This is my own combo that works a treat for my cuttings... dip in Clonex rooting gel (get the purple one), give them a soak or water with Groconut, a natural rooting and growth hormone from coconuts, then to keep up that nitrogen and calcium for faster root growth, stronger roots, and healthier, faster growing stems and leaves, water with a little GT CCS every time I water, which is a specialist rooting fertiliser for propagation and baby plants.

Some nutrients are mobile - your plant will move them around where they're needed - but some (like calcium) are immobile. That means once there's a deficiency, that root / stem / leaf's cells will be deficient for life. Calcium is not a deficiency you want in a newly propped cutting! Look for a fertiliser with calcium (GT and Dyna-Gro are two options).

Flat rate shipping is $5.90 nationwide (or $9.50 for rural). Order as many products as you like without paying any extra for shipping. The only exceptions are plants and fragile or oversize products (like handmade pottery), which have their own rates.

Add $2 to upgrade to signature required. Well worth it for anything valuable or limited edition that can't be replaced. Choosing signature required gives both of us the ability to claim if anything goes wrong with the courier.

"Super impressed with this business. Something that is lost nowadays, is customer service. This however is not the case with Anna from Love that Leaf. Very happy with my purchase, very happy with the product information provided and very happy with the quick shipping and great packaging. Thanks!" Melayna Anderson

"By far the best customer care I've had in a long time. Website is such a wealth of information and the email with instructions for use after my purchase was fantastic. The pipette for measuring the correct amount was such a great inclusion, and the personalised message on the package was very cool. Definitely my go to shop for plant supplies now. Thanks Love That Leaf! A+++" Karyn Wilson
