Growth Technology CCS (Clonex Clone Solution)

$27.00 NZD

CCS, now in New Zealand

“There are 2 nutrients we absolutely can not do without, GT Clonex Clone Solution and Foliage Focus.”
@foliagetherapyau

"If you want plants to grow big and strong, this is the stuff. This stuff makes plants TAKE OFF. Love it." Cade Lusk

What is CCS for?

CCS is a complete and balanced, specialist fertiliser for use when propagating. For node and stem cuttings, wet stick propagation and seedlings. Most often used in hydroponics (growing in water), CCS is also compatible with all media including leca and potting mix.

Who is GT?

CCS is made by Growth Technology, known in the industry as GT. These are the clever chaps behind world-famous Clonex gel (licensed in NZ to Yates). GT specialises in meeting the very high standards of commercial growers.

Lucky #6

Lucky for us indoor plant hobbyists, GT has also created a specialist range for indoor plants. Here are
6 top reasons your plants will be feeling lucky when you choose CCS.

#1 Calcium

Calcium is essential, yet most fertilisers don't include it. Slow, stunted or deformed new growth. Cracked, split or curling leaves. Buds that fall off before plants flower... all common signs of a calcium deficiency. If there’s a deficiency when new growth forms, the damage is done. CCS is a complete fertiliser which includes calcium, providing 53 to 106 ppm calcium once diluted (based on 5ml to 10ml per litre).

#2 No urea or clorides

CCS uses only urea-free nitrogen and chloride-free potassium to reduce the risk of fertiliser burn, especially important for protecting delicate new roots.

#3  Complete

Includes all 12 essential nutrients. Nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K), calcium, magnesium, sulphur, iron, manganese, boron, zinc, copper and molybdenum.

#4 Balanced

Both complete and balanced
, with all 12 essential nutrients in the right ratio to support stronger, healthier roots while speeding up new root development.

#5 pH buffered

pH buffered to 6
once diluted in water, slightly acidic, right where nutrients become ideally available, helping avoid both deficiencies and toxic levels.

#6 Chelated minerals

Pronounced 'key-lay-ted' (think of a key unlocking a door). Chelating minerals 'unlocks' the 5 essential metal nutrients: iron, manganese, magnesium, zinc and copper. Metal nutrients can lock up in soil, becoming a solid form plants can't use. Chelation adds organic molecules to protect precious metals, keeping critical metal nutrients unlocked, water-soluble and available to plants.

What does CCS do?

CCS is a complete fertiliser formulated to support faster growth of stronger, healthier roots. For best results, use CCS with Clonex rooting gel. (also made by GT, licensed in NZ to Yates). Vitamin B-1 and Auxins combine to quickly initiate root growth and reduce transplant shock, while reducing the risk of stem and leaf rot while roots establish.

Directions for how to use CCS

Every GT order comes with one FREE 5ml pipette. One 250ml bottle makes up to 50 litres or 5,000 mls of nutrient solution (a standard test tube holds around 20 mls).

Propagation:

Dilute 5mls CCS per 1 litre water (small vessels: 1ml per 200mls water). Place cutting in CCS cloning solution. Make up fresh with every water change. When propagating in standing water, refresh cloning solution weekly. CCS can also be applied as a foliar spray as frequently as every second day at 5ml per 1 litre dilution. Spray in low-light or after lights out. For even better results: Dip fresh cutting in Clonex gel first.

As cuttings mature, ready to pot up, you can increase the dose up to 10mls CCS per 1 litre if required.

Repotting:

To reduce transplant stress and aid root recovery, dilute 5ml CCS per 1 litre water.

Before repotting: When due to be watered, soak plant in CCS nutrient solution 24 to 48 hours before transplanting. Bottom water 15 to 30 minutes or until soil is saturated (60 minutes max). Drain well.

After repotting: Within 60 minutes following potting, soak new substrate and root ball thoroughly in CCS nutrient solution at 5ml per 1 litre (60 mins max), or thoroughly top water until substrate is evenly saturated.

To aid root recovery: Ideally continue with CCS every water until new vegetative growth is seen, then return to plant's usual fertiliser routine (eg: Complete Focus).

"This is the stuff... used with water and Clonex rooting gel... two weeks and absolutely zero attention later, we had the fattest roots I've ever seen on a baby plant. Darn tootin'!" Erik Look

"Good for starting plants, plants that need a boost and I give it to stressed plants that need a kick. Plants are going off with this stuff. Worth it." @alohi
